Description
This is a notice of intent, NOT a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will NOT be issued, and quotations will NOT be requested.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed-price purchase order to procure a preventive maintenance agreement from The Scale People Inc., located in Columbia, Maryland 21046-2849. The period of performance will be from February 10, 2025, to February 9, 2027.
The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a preventive maintenance agreement for the calibration of various equipment used in the Department of Transfusion Medicine.
The following services are required for this requirement: Preventive Maintenance (PM)
The contractor will provide scheduled preventive maintenance on an annual or semiannual basis, depending on the type of equipment, within the 12-month period. Maintenance will be scheduled by a qualified service representative, with the service date confirmed in advance of the scheduled due date.
Services to be performed on the following equipment:
The contractor is required to adjust or repair any item that does not meet the manufacturer's qualification criteria and provide detailed documentation of all work performed to the Department of Transfusion Medicine (DTM).
Preventive maintenance (PM) performed on these instruments is required to comply with the following regulations and standards:
The Scale People Inc. is qualified by the Department of Transfusion Medicine (DTM) and meets all the aforementioned regulatory requirements to service the instruments currently in use within the Department of Transfusion Medicine.
This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501 Special documentation requirements for sole source acquisitions exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.
Interested parties may identify their interest and submit capability statements in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
