The system uses Pfeiffer Turbo Pumps to maintain vacuum in two different canisters where the chemical processing of the samples take place. It is imperative these processes are not interrupted or disturbed by being subjected to atmospheric pressures. These specific turbo pumps are manufactured only by Pfeiffer, however, Pfeiffer does sell through distributors.
