Overview
Summary

San Joaquin Delta Community College District (“District") invites qualified firms and individuals ("Suppliers") to submit proposals for the provision of Environmental, Hazardous Waste, and Medical Waste Disposal Services at District facilities, including but not limited to the Stockton Campus, South Campus at Mountain House, and Manteca Center.

It is the intent of the District to award a contract to the highest-ranked Proposer for each service category Environmental Waste, Hazardous Waste and Medical Waste. A single Proposer may be awarded multiple categories if demonstrated qualifications and evaluation scores warrant.

This solicitation is issued to ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the management and disposal of environmental, hazardous, and medical waste. The District’s objectives are to minimize institutional liability, protect the health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and maintain a safe and environmentally responsible campus environment.

This RFP is part of a cooperative purchasing agreement through the SJVCC, a collaboration that allows the District and other public sector entities, as well as private educational institutions in the region, to benefit from collective purchasing power. As a result, any selected bid may be utilized by additional participating entities, providing expanded visibility and potential for additional opportunities. (Further details on SJVCC can be found in Section 3.0.)

The intent is to establish a list of approved suppliers to contract with. The contract resulting from this RFP will have a duration of five (5) years. It is expected that a recommendation for award will be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval, with notifications sent following the approval.
