Douglas County seeks to contract with qualified attorneys to prosecute cases on behalf of the State in District Court misdemeanor matters, including show cause, probation violation, sentence modification hearings, gross misdemeanor and appeals of District Court rulings in Superior Court. Additionally, the attorney will evaluate cases, make settlement offers, negotiate with defense counsel, prepare for and go to trial.
