Richland County (the County) is seeking bids from qualified Contractors. This project consists of the construction of a new roughly 6,000 square foot fire station located at an existing undisturbed site located at 11809 Broad River Road, Chapin SC. Clearing of the existing site with new cut and fill as described in the civil drawings to prepare the new building pad and site circulation. New facility will comprise of concrete masonry and metal stud-framed walls with brick and metal panel veneer & standing seam metal roofing.
Richland County is located in the center of South Carolina and covers a total area of 756 square miles. The County surrounds the state capital city of Columbia, which is also the County seat. Established in 1785, the County has grown to become home to just over 400,000 residents, and represents a thriving business, industrial, governmental, and educational center. The County employs approximately 1765 people and operates a general fund budget in excess of $100 million dollars.
