Description
The Regional Executive Director of the Kootenay Boundary Natural Resource Region hereby invites applications and tenders for Non-Replaceable Forest Licence (A99021) to harvest stands from Crown land in Tree Farm Licence 3.The licence will have a term of 5 years commencing on or after January 1, 2026.
The licence will provide for cutting permits to be issued for the harvest of steep slopes (at least 40% of total volume must be from slopes greater than 50%) with a priority on dead and damaged timber in TFL 3. The allowable annual cut will be 20 000m3 with a total volume of 100 000m3.
The applicant must own a secondary processing facility or a processing facility that does not produce, as its primary product, boards, cants, cants, flitches, lumber, veneer, oriented strand board, pulp, paper, newspaper, wood chips, pellets, ground wood, bioenergy, biochemicals or hog fuel as defined in the Forest Licence Regulation . The input capacity of the processing facility is not a limiting factor to the application. The processing facility must be located in the Selkirk Natural Resource District. The facility must produce (>50% based on either volume (m³) or value ($) of output) as its primary product, secondary manufactured products.
Pursuant to Section 13(2) of the Forest Act, NRFL A99021is offered to qualified bidders. The application for NON-REPLACEABLE FOREST LICENCE A99021 must be received in a sealed container or sealed envelope marked APPLICATION AND TENDER FOR NON-REPLACEABLE FOREST LICENCE A99021 IN TREE FARM LICENCE 3and must be received by the:
