Description
Nebraska Public Power District (DISTRICT) intends to procure all necessary design (i.e., excavation shoring, cofferdam design, etc.), planning, material coordination, schedule preparation, progress reporting, labor, supervision, materials, tools, apparatus, and equipment for the demolition and removal of the powerhouse, powerhouse foundation, spillway structure, and stilling basin at the existing Spencer Hydroelectric Facility, located near Spencer, Nebraska. The Work shall also include the removal and disposal of sheet pile within the remaining earthen embankment, removal and grading of the remaining earthen embankment, reclamation and seeding of the site, and removal and safe disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous materials/substances found on site.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details
A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for prospective Bidders will be held at 10:00 a.m., CDT, July 10, 2025, at the project site located five (5) miles south of Spencer, Nebraska, or 26 miles north of O’Neill, Nebraska, on Highway 281. The site is accessed by turning west off of Highway 281, onto 897 Rd. Travel west on 897 Rd for 0.5 miles to 492 Ave. Turn left onto 492 Ave and travel south for 1.5 miles, to the Spencer Hydro Facility. The purpose of the site visit is to allow prospective Bidders a chance to walkdown the worksite. It is imperative that all prospective Bidders attend this worksite walkdown. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit shall be cause for rejection of the Bidder’s proposal. Those participating in the site visit will be required to have personnel protective equipment: safety glasses, safety shoes, and hard hats prior to being admitted onto the site. Cameras are allowed. It is the Bidder's responsibility, while at the site visit to ask any questions necessary concerning the site.
