Project Description: The project includes the following work: The scope includes but is not limited to renovating two existing vacant interior spaces to create collaborative and flexible work environments for quantum physics research located in the University of Washington's Nanoengineering and Sciences Building (NanoES), completed in 2018. The primary objective is to create open labs where faculty and student researchers can collaborate while maintaining separation between experiment groups. The renovation will include the integration of existing and new quantum dilution refrigerator equipment requiring vendor installation recommendations. The scope includes minor architectural adjustments, acoustic upgrades, and structural bracing for equipment to ensure safety and functionality. The scope includes updates to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and data systems.
A/E Estimate: $686,851.00
Pre-Bid Site Meeting: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 10:30 am on January 29, 2025, at Nano ES Ground floor vestibule,
1701 NE Grant Ln Seattle, WA 98195. Access to the project site is restricted. This will be the only opportunity for bidders to visit the Project site.
