Media Professional Services

The City of Los Angeles (City) Information Technology Agency (ITA) invites responses from firms interested in providing, by contract, media/video production and support personnel professionals on an as-needed basis. Contract(s) will be awarded for a term of three (3) years with one (2) additional one-year options to renew or extend at the City’s sole discretion. The intent of the contract(s) to be awarded as a result of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to obtain the services of high quality contract staff for use in two distinct situations:

1.        Temporary situations which do not justify the addition of permanent staff; and/or

2.        Situations that require unique skill sets in various aspects of media/video production and support services for its municipal cable station.

The City seeks to execute up to five contracts from this RFQ with firms that could provide temporary assistance with media/video production. The City’s primary objective is to obtain the use of individuals with specialized knowledge and skills for short periods of time. The areas in which the City will seek to augment its media/video production teams include, but is not limited to, the following: producing/directing/writing, on-camera reporting and voiceover work, field/studio media production, commission producing, graphic design, video editing, makeup artistry, and television engineering.
