for DPW Project 25269 Campus Drive Repairs, Phase III, University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
A description of the work of this project can be summarized to include Campus Drive Repairs; Phase 3 is the last phase
of the reconstruction of Campus Drive at the UI Moscow Campus. It is intended to be a continuation of campus
pedestrian walkway system and will replace the last section of deteriorating road surface with new concrete and
decorative brick pavers that complement the collegiate gothic architectural features of the administration building. The
new drive will be developed in a “Woonerf” style configuration that is intended as “barrier-free” design focused on
pedestrian traffic over vehicular use. It will be inclusive for all users including removal of the metal pipe barriers intended
to keep students off the administration lawn. Proposed improvements will maintain the architectural character
established in 2018, with the previous Admin Circle (Phase 1) and subsequent Campus Drive (Phase 2) projects.
Amenities include decorative brick pavers, upgraded historic lighting and new site furnishings such as trash/recycling
receptacles and much needed benches for seating that include views of the historic administration lawn. All walkways
and sidewalks, where feasible, will comply with universal design, ADA accessibility requirements, and principles. New
landscape plantings and irrigation enhancements are also included and are important for maintaining the aesthetic of
the historic character of the campus.
Proposals will be opened and publicly read at the above hour and date.
