The intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to provide construction services for the Renovation of 751 Miller Drive â Phase I â Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Cleaning, Inspection and Maintenance Operation (hereinafter referred to as the âProjectâ).The Project will be located at 751 Miller Drive, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175 (Parcel ID 234407410000) owned by the County of Loudoun Board of Supervisors.The Project will consist of approximately 8,000 gross square feet of interior renovations and will provide laundry and decontamination areas for processing and cleaning soiled PPE, work areas for the testing and repair of PPE, administrative offices, break room, and restrooms. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:Renovation and fit-out of spaces to accommodate a PPE, Cleaning Facility for Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (LCFR), and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) support spaces.The General Contractor shall be responsible for the safety and security of tenants, visitors, Loudoun County staff, and the public throughout the Projectâs construction phase.The Project is directly adjacent to occupied areas of the overall facility that must remain operational for both County and tenant use throughout the duration of construction activities. The renovations are intended to provide an on-site, fully functional cleaning facility for LCFR PPE, thereby eliminating the current reliance on off-site, third-party cleaning services. PPE to be cleaned may include, but is not limited to, jackets, pants, and breathing apparatus components.
