The City will receive sealed bids, each unit with a set minimum bid, until 1:30
p.m. May 29th, 2026. At 1:30 p.m. bids will be opened publicly and read aloud
in the Council Chambers. No verbal offers will be accepted. Bid packets may
be obtained from the Community Development Department of City Hall, 111
East Fourth Street, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, beginning May 8, 2026. The City
reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Payment terms are contained in
the bid packet. Sale is not final until approved by the City Council at a future
meeting after May 29th, 2026. If the City offices are closed May 29th, 2026 for
any reason, the bid deadline and opening shall be 1:30 p.m. on the next
business day.

THE PROPERTY
The City of Okmulgee is offering for sale the following real property:
UNIT 22
A vacant parcel located at 822 W 11th in the City of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Minimum Bid: $1500
The Council of the City of Okmulgee has declared this real property to be
surplus and no longer needed for public purposes. Interested parties are
invited to bid on the described property.
The City of Okmulgee reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions of
any bids. Payment of an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price in
the form of a cashier’s check, money order or other certified funds shall
accompany each bid, as an earnest money deposit. Approval of a successful
bidder will be made at the regular meeting of the City Council on June 16,
2026. The successful bidder will be notified within three (3) business days
following the decision. The City shall convey the property by quitclaim deed
with no abstract, survey, nor warranty as to ownership or adverse interests.
Payment of the balance of the purchase price shall be made prior to the transfer
of ownership of the property, and shall be in the form of a Cashier’s Check,
Check, Money Order, or Cash within five (5) business days of notification. If the
successful bidder does not make payment of the funds in the time specified, the
next bidder will be contacted and offered the opportunity to purchase said
property. Earnest money deposits of the unsuccessful bidder shall be returned
to those bidders, upon completion of the sale to the successful bidder. Any
Earnest money by a successful bidder that does not complete transaction with
time of payment specified, will be forfeited to the City of Okmulgee and the next
highest bidder will be contacted for an opportunity to purchase the unit.
