CE OF INTENT TO DESIGNATE SOLE SOURCE
The Purchasing and Contract Administration Division is publishing this notice pursuant to the City of Deerfield Beach Procurement Code Section 38-116(3)c.2.i, Sole Source. The Procurement and Contract Administration Division intends to award a contract without competition if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City.
DETERMINATION OF OTHER INTERESTED VENDORS
This Request for Information (RFI)/ Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source is intended to ascertain whether the commodity or service specified below is currently available from multiple providers/brands. Any such vendor must submit the following information:
Regardless of any prior communications with the Purchasing Division, all vendors interested in responding to this notice must submit a response to this posting containing complete responses to all of the information requested above. Any questions regarding this notice may be obtained through the Purchasing Division during this publication period.
No action is required if you agree with this notice.
If after the public notice period, the Purchasing Division determines that there are other interested and qualified vendors that meet the specifications of this notice, the Purchasing Division will not award a contract pursuant to this notice. If after the public notice no valid s
ubmission has been received, the City of Deerfield Beach, or designee, may designate the identified vendor as the sole source for the product or service described herein for a period of two (2) years from the date of designation, and may acquire the product or service from the identified vendor by purchase order or contract without competition during that period.

This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to ascertain whether the commodity or service specified below is currently only available from an only one source. This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase.
The Purchasing Manager shall consider such submittals and notify all submitting vendors of the decision whether to designate a Sole Source.
The following product is thought to be available from only a single source: Vendor: Vermeer Southeast Sales & Service, Inc., authorized regional dealer for US Radar, Inc.
Product Name: GPRover Triple-Frequency Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System
The City of Deerfield Beach requires a ground penetrating radar system for subsurface utility location and mapping in support of utility coordination, drainage outfall, canal restoration, and roadway projects. The required system must capture three antenna frequencies simultaneously (1000 MHz, 500 MHz, and 250 MHz) in a single integrated antenna assembly, providing high-resolution shallow imaging and deep target penetration in one pass without changing antennas. The system must provide onboard locating, mapping, GIS, and GPS navigation functions without separate post-processing software, and must include tilt correction applied to the full depth of the target.
Submittal Instructions:
Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the City to receive a valid response through eProcurement. Refer to the Purchasing Division website or contact eProcurement for submittal instructions. It is the Vendors sole responsibility to ensure its response is submitted and received through eProcurement by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The City will not consider solicitation responses received by other means. Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through eProcurement, immediately notify the Buyer and then contact eProcurement technical assistance.
