Description
This notice serves as a Sources Sought. The National Park Service is seeking interested firms willing and able to perform the following work for the National Park Service: Plug Three (3) Oil/Gas Wells at JELA.
This project will reclaim three former oil and gas well sites located within the Barataria Preserve of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve (JELA). Work will include replugging and abandoning wells as necessary, as well as removing and reclaiming flowlines, surface equipment, and debris. These materials remain from well operations that were plugged and abandoned¿primarily in the 1960s and all prior to the park¿s establishment. The project will be funded through FY25 BIL-ECRP appropriations.
The anticipated acquisition method is FAR 14 Sealed Bidding. However, the government is considering the use of FAR 15 Best Value Trade-Offs as well.
If your firm is insterested in this work. Please see the following attached documents:
1. Statement of Work
2. Sources Sought Worksheet
To formally respond to this notice, please complete the attached Sources Sought Worksheet and return to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Cole Johnson, via email to Cole_Johnson@ios.doi.gov by 5PM ET on 4/29/2026.
