Force Optimization through Rapid-Prototyping, Gear Enhancements & Innovative Technology (FORGE-IT)

BAE Systems Space & Misson Systems, Inc., Boulder, Colorado, has been awarded a $34,381,643 Cost Plus Fixed-Fee contract for “Force Optimization through Rapid-Prototyping, Gear Enhancements, and Innovative Technology”. This contract provides for development and integration of solutions that leverage new technologies such as augmented reality, enhanced communications and optimized system integration of the Special Warfare (SW) ground ensemble. The location of performance is Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The work is expected to be complete by 30 Jan 2029. This award is the result of a competitive white paper submitted under Open Advanced Research Announcement (ARA) FA8650-21-S-6005. Fiscal Year 2025 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) funds in the amount of $4,124,754 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Research Laboratory Wright Research Site (AFRL/RAKHA), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity.
