This is a public notice in accordnace with FAR 5.2 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions.
The Library of Congress requires contract support to service its Lasergraphics 5k+ Scan Station scanning system. This scanning system was originally installed in the National Audiovisual Conservation Center (NAVCC) Film Preservation Laboratory in Fiscal Year 14. The scanning system is a vital component of the Library’s digitization efforts as it converts motion picture film into digital files. The maintenance and support of this system is necessary for the Film Preservation Lab to continue fulfilling it and the Library’s mission to digitize its collections for both preservation and public access purposes.
In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source contract to Grass Valley USA, LLC is posted with this notice. Please see the attachments section for the Justificaiton and Approval (JA) and Statement of Work (SOW). As a special notice detailing the Library's intent to issue this award, no additional award notice shall be made.
