Sealed bids for SUCF Project No. 191026_- REPLACE ROOF – VETERINARY MEDICAL CENTER will be received by Cornell University at 121 Humphreys Service Building, 639 Dryden Road, Ithaca, New York 14853, until 2:00 PM on September 3, 2025, then opened publicly in Room 133 Humphreys Service Building and via Zoom at: https://cornell.zoom.us/j/93998137477?pwd=idl30WJbo1vg6qboaP0ZUmAEU51l19.1&from=addon
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security (bid bond or certified check) in the amount of 10% of total bid.

Scope of Work:

Replace roofing systems and skylights at the Veterinary Medical Center. The project will be phased over multiple construction seasons. This project includes the replacement of roof area 1164-001 and an alternate for roof area 1164-008. The existing ballasted roof system will be demolished and replaced with a KEE PVC roof assembly on existing concrete and/or metal decks. Work also includes skylight replacement, roof ladder, guard rails, lightning protection, lighting, and the modification of various rooftop mechanical supports, curbs, and equipment to accommodate the new roofing system. Gravel must be removed using hand carts to reduce noise and disturbance in the building during construction.
