UDOT- Volumetric Truck Concrete Contract

This contract is to supply and deliver concrete products with a volumetric truck to UDOT crews that will be placing concrete.. Concrete products may be requested in Tooele, Salt Lake or Summit County. There is potential for the contractor to be notified of a placement with only a few hours notice in the event of a roadway emergency. For this purpose UDOT intends to have multiple contracts in place.
UDOT intends to award multiple contracts to contractors who have and supply concrete by means of a volumetric truck. Contracts will be awarded as a primary, secondary, tertiary, Etc. With the primary being the lowest total average cost of line Items 1-9 and 16-17 for each county. UDOT will contact the secondary if the primary is unable to meet UDOTs needs and time frame.
If a contractor is unable to supply a truck and concrete to a project, they will not be penalized for future concrete projects. UDOT requests that they make all efforts to fulfill the contract if able.
The volumetric truck are to be current with a UDOT certification and concrete mixes will conform to all UDOT 2025 Standard Specifications. Specifically 03055 - Portland Cement Concrete and 03058 - Rapid Strength Concrete (RSC) and must be approved by UDOT Region 2 Materials prior to any concrete placement.
Quantities listed are for estimate purposes only, actual may be more or less and will be determined in the field. Contractor will be paid based on actual quantities delivered. Each bid item includes mobilization and will not be paid as a separate item.
Length of the Contract:
The contract resulting from this IFB will be for FIVE (5) years.
This solicitation is issued in accordance with the Utah Procurement Code and applicable administrative rules of the Utah Administrative Code. If any provision of this solicitation conflicts with the Utah Procurement Code or Utah Administrative Code, the Utah Procurement Code or Utah Administrative Code will take precedence.
The documents included within this solicitation are intended to provide interested bidders with sufficient information to enable the bidder to determine if they can provide as per the outlined requirements.
Bidders must provide sufficient documentation/information to demonstrate compliance with the stated specifications/requirements.
