Proposals will be received by the West Virginia Parkways Authority via Bid Express for:
BRIDGE DECK REPLACEMENT CONTRACT BDR-2-27
BRIDGE PAINT, SHOTCRETE REPAIR, AND CONCRETE PROTECTIVE COATING
BRIDGE 3041N – MILEPOST 48.00
RALEIGH COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA
The BDR-2-27 project is located along the West Virginia Turnpike at I-77 Milepost 48.00. It consists of fully replacing the
northbound bridge deck over Little Valley Road (County Route 4/1) with precast deck panels and barriers utilizing accelerated
bridge construction. It also includes fully repainting steelwork, pneumatically applied mortar (shotcrete) repairs to substructure
units, and concrete protective coating on all piers, abutments and wingwalls for the bridge over Little Valley Road. The complete
bridge deck shall be replaced during the designated ABC timeframe. The deck replacement of Bridge 3041N shall be
completed by October 31, 2026.
Work on Bridge 3041N consists of approximately 9,412 square feet of bridge deck replacement, 15,870 square feet of steel bridge
painting,
11 square yards of shotcrete repairs and 5,830 square feet of concrete protective coating.

All work under this contract shall be completed by May 27th, 2027.
Proposals will be received via Bid Express until 3:00 PM April 14, 2026 at which time said proposals will be publicly opened and
read at the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia
25306. Results may also be heard via teleconference by dialing this number and entering the participant code: (816)-702-6618,
439506264#. No bids will be received after the scheduled opening.
Prospective bidders must be prequalified in accordance with SECTION 102.1 of the WVDOH Standard Specifications. Contract
Documents without Standard Specifications or other referenced standards can be obtained from www.bidexpress.com. The project

Proposals must be made via Bid Express in the manner designated in the specifications, and must be accompanied by a CASHIER'S
or CERTIFIED CHECK or BID BOND in favor of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, FOR AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO FIVE PERCENT
(5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPOSAL OR $2,000 WHICHEVER IS THE GREATER, and must be delivered to the office of the
West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306 on or before the
day and hour named. Bid bonds may instead be submitted electronically via Bid Express. ANY BID THAT IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY
A BID BOND DELIVERED ELECTRONICALLY VIA BID EXPRESS OR A CASHIER’S CHECK, A CERTIFIED CHECK, OR A BID BOND
DELIVERED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED ABOVE ON OR BEFORE THE DAY AND HOUR NAMED WILL BE CONSIDERED IRREGULAR.
All bids submitted by bidders who have been debarred or declared ineligible by the Director of the Purchasing Division shall be rejected.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals submitted, and to waive any or all formalities in bidding, as it may
deem in its best interest.
