WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM STORAGE TANKS MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - CITY OF GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
SEALED PROPOSALS for furnishing all materials and providing all labor, tools, and equipment to perform the Water Distribution System Storage Tanks Maintenance Program will be received by the City/Owner at the Department of Water Resources Engineering and Construction Services Division Office, 757 Queen City Parkway, 1st Floor, Gainesville, GA 30501, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
The Proposer may submit their Proposal by mail, or hand-deliver the Proposal to the above location at the specified date and time. Upon receipt, the Proposal will be date/time stamped by City Personnel. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the sender. Unsealed Proposals will not be considered.
The Proposer shall provide name and Contractor license number on the cover page of the proposal. Any Proposal submitted which does not contain the above information will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the person/company submitting a Proposal to ensure that the Proposal is received at the physical address of the Department of Water Resources Engineering and Construction Services Division Office prior to the stated deadline.

THE PROJECT
The City of Gainesville is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Water Distribution System Storage Tanks Maintenance Company for a minimum 1-year, renewable annually to a maximum 10-year agreement for full service asset management of the City’s water storage tanks including, but not limited to, the following services:
• Engineering and visual inspection services
• Rehabilitation
• As-needed repairs
• Emergency services
• Recoating
• Washout services
• Preventive maintenance
THE WORK
Currently the City owns and operates the following water distribution system storage tanks, which shall be included in the full service asset management agreement:
• Athens Hwy Elevated Tank – 750,000 Gallons
• Bark Camp Road Elevated Tank – 750,000 Gallons
• Hog Mountain Road Elevated Tank – 750,000 Gallons
• King Street Elevated Tank – 750,000 Gallons
• Stringer Avenue Elevated Tank – 500,000 Gallons
• Hwy 52 Elevated Tank – 250,000 Gallons
• High Street Ground Storage Tank – 5,000,000 Gallons
It is the responsibility of each prospective proposer to schedule and inspect the tanks prior to submission of their proposal. Upon request, the City can provide electronic copies of our December 2023 inspection reports for the seven (7) tanks. The City will provide physical access to all proposers for inspection of all tanks between the pre-proposal meeting and proposal submittal due date.
