Sealed or electronic bids will be received by the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors at the Office of
Chancery Clerk at the Choctaw County Courthouse, 22 East Quinn Street, in Ackerman, Mississippi until
10:00 a.m. on June 09, 2026 for:
Base & Surfacing on Various Routes in Choctaw County, CES Project #26-1517 (Two Contracts):
Part A- Construction of Soil-Cement Base Stabilization
Part B- Construction of DBST Surfacing
Sealed bids will be received until the designated date and time at the Choctaw County Courthouse,
Ackerman, Mississippi. Electronic bids will be received until the designated date and time via electronic
online submission through QuestCDN for a fifty-dollar ($50) fee. All bids will be thereafter publicly
opened.

Detailed plans and specifications for the above-described work are on file in the Chancery Clerk’s Office
at the Choctaw County Courthouse, 22 East Quinn Street, in Ackerman, Mississippi. Plans and Proposals
may be secured by contacting Marty Crowder, P.E., County Engineer, 1150 West Main Street, Ackerman,
Mississippi 39735, 662-285-2062. The cost is fifty dollars ($50) for printed plans and fifty dollars ($50) for
proposal package, non-refundable. The contract documents (plans & proposal) are also available in
digital form at QuestCDN.com and may be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of forty-five dollars

The Award, if made, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of the published
quantities. The Choctaw County Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprise will
be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Choctaw County must
accompany each proposal. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish separate performance and
payment bonds each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of execution.
All Bidders responding to this Advertisement for Bids must comply with all applicable requirements of
Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, including, but not limited to,
the requirements relative to holding a Certificate of Responsibility and payment of a special privilege
tax; both items administered by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors.
No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
