2025 Water Treatment Plant Capital Improvements - Part A: Filter Valves and Sludge Recycle

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Manhattan, Kansas, at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, until 3:30 P.M., on October 28, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for:

The project will include but is not limited to the following major categories of work:

Part A includes the replacement of filter valves and actuators in the filter gallery at the water treatment plant. The project also includes the addition of sludge recirculation to the northeast solids contact basin at the water treatment plant with the addition of a pump, valves, and piping inside the existing sludge blow down vault. The project is located at the City of Manhattan Water Treatment Plant, 1201 N. 3rd Street, Manhattan, KS.

TIME LIMIT:

Substantial Completion: The project shall be substantially complete within 90 calendar days. Final Completion: The project shall be completed and ready for final payment within 110 calendar days.

Copies of the City of Manhattan Design Criteria and Standard Specifications and other Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection at the Public Works Department, Engineering Division, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502.
