The County Commissioners of Caroline County are accepting bids (written quotes) for the Choptank Marina Sea Wall and Pier Replacement Project. The scope of this contract includes but is not limited to:
Construction of a new replacement seawall around the east and southeast portions of the existing marina, demolition and disposal of the existing seawall, perimeter and center piers, finger piers and piles, and construction of new piers and mooring piles.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, @ 10:00 am, at the Choptank Marina located at 21843 Water Street Preston, MD 21655. Bidders are required to attend. Time is of the essence in the execution of each project. Work cannot commence before June 15, 2025, and all work must be completed by January 15, 2026. The order of construction shall be:
1. Sea Wall: Construction shall start after June 15, 2025. (Boats will be IN the water)
2. Finger Pier: Construction shall start after October 1, 2025. (Boats will be OUT of the water)
Bids must be received in the office of the Caroline County Commissioners, located at 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629, ATTENTION: Nicole Pearce, by no later than Thursday, May 1, 2025, @ 10:00 am where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.
