REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
BATHYMETRIC SURVEY FOR SOUTHEAST REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT (FORMERLY NORTH TOPSAIL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT)
GENERAL
SE Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant is a wastewater collection and treatment system owned and operated by Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA). The system serves approximately 6,000 residential and commercial customers in the town of North Topsail Beach and Sneads Ferry. The SE Regional wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is located at 1095 State Hwy 210 in Sneads Ferry in southeastern Onslow County, NC. The WWTP is permitted to treat and discharge 1,542,635 gallons per day (GPD) via a wastewater irrigation system rated for 542,635 gallons per day and two high-rate infiltration basins rated for 1,000,000 GPD. Sealed proposals will be received at the ONWASA Central Office Complex at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville NC 28540, until 2:00 pm on May 8, 2025.
ONWASA desires to contract with a professional engineering/surveying firm to perform the following:
SCOPE OF WORK
The facilities are located at the project location noted and will include the three (3) infiltration lagoons and two (2) infiltration basins at the plant.
All survey services performed shall be completed by the standards as set forth by the Rules of Standard Practice as outlined by the North Carolina Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors and North Carolina General Statutes to include GS 47-30 and North Carolina Administrative Code - 21 NCAC 56.1606. The survey shall be horizontally tied to the North Carolina State Plane Coordinate System under the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83). Vertically, the project shall be tied to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). The project’s units shall be the U.S. Survey Foot. Survey and quality control methods used shall be practical and generally follow accepted methods of practice as found in the USACE Hydrographic Surveying Manual.
