The Town of Longmeadow is accepting sealed bids for the Wolf Swamp Elementary School entry vestibule project. Bid documents are available from the Longmeadow Purchasing Department at the following address: Town of Longmeadow, Purchasing Department, Attn: Chad Thompson, Director of Procurement, 231 Maple Road, Longmeadow, MA 01106. DCAMM contractor certification is required for the Prime Contractor/General Bidder in the category of General Building Construction. Based on the estimate for sub-trades no filed sub-bid is required. General Bid submissions should be delivered in an envelope labeled ‘IFB WSR Elementary Vestibule’ with the complete contact information of the bidder on the outer envelope. Include within the bid submission completed bid forms, a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility, and Update Statement for applicable trade.
There is a MANDATORY pre-bid conference at Wolf Swamp Elementary School, 62 Wolf Swamp Road, Longmeadow MA, on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:00pm. Gather outside at the school entry. Bidders must register during the conference to be eligible for award consideration. Additional site inspection requests will not be accommodated.
Sealed General Bids will be received until the bid deadline of Wednesday February 25, 2026 at 11:00am at the Longmeadow Purchasing Department. Late bids will be rejected. A public bid opening will immediately follow the bid deadline.
General Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount which is not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bid deposits shall be made payable to the ‘Town of Longmeadow’ in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. The awarded contractors shall comply with payment of minimum labor wage rates as set forth under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H inclusive. A Performance Bond and, a Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% will be required upon contract award.
The Town of Longmeadow acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and to award a contactin the best interest of the Town.
