BA24-103 Mobil LiDAR Data Collection

Description:
The New York State Department of Transportation is soliciting competitive bids for Mobile LiDAR Data Collection for multiple projects in New York State. Mobile LiDAR combines the use of laser scanner(s), Global navigation Satellite Systems and an Inertial Measurement System mounted on a vehicle. The Mobile LiDAR data collection will need to minimize impact to traffic and needs to be performed at posted State highway speeds. The Vendor will not be responsible for establishing survey control. NYSDOT will be responsible for providing survey control to the VENDOR for existing targets on the project. Subcontracting is NOT allowed.

As such, pre-qualification of bidders is required. Prospective bidders wishing to apply for prequalified status should contact the Photogrammetry Section via e-mail at lori.gallagher@dot.ny.gov .

Due to statutory restrictions on Procurement Lobbying, no DOT employee may disclose any “material information” related to this proposed procurement to any other person not employed by DOT prior to the public release of the actual Solicitation (IFB/RFP). The term “material information” does not apply to ministerial matters such as the time and place and manner of submitting a bid proposal, or the anticipated release date of a Solicitation. Designated contact persons will be identified in the Solicitation document.


The New York State Department of Transportation, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally­-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all who respond to a written Department solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award.
