Description

The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) seeks a professional language service provider with significant capacity and experience offering effective project management, interpretation sourcing, and technical support. The provider will meet or exceed industry standards for language services and for quality management.
Specifically, ACS is seeking a vendor to provide Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Language Access Services. The contractor must perform ALL of the following services:  In-Person Sign Language (ASL, CDI, Deaf-Blind Tactile); On-site Sign Language (ASL, CDI, Deaf-Blind Tactile); Video Remote Sign Language (ASL, CDI) Interpreters; In-Video Sign Language Interpretation for Multimedia; Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) Services; Captioning; provide Sign Language Classes for ACS Staff; and provide Sign Language Certification Exams.
ACS must be compliant with Local Law 73 (2003), Local Law 30 (2017), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which require ACS and its network of providers to provide interpretation and translation services for all limited-English proficient and deaf/hard-of-hearing families to enable equal access to ACS services, as well as ensure best practice for casework with limited-English proficiency and deaf/hard-of-hearing families. The term of the contract will be July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
