WEINER WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
General Notice
City of Weiner (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Weiner Water System Improvements
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received and opened at the Catholic Hall, 425 Kings Highway, Weiner, AR 72479, on May 5, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Any contractor submitting a bid prior to bid opening must do so to Weiner City Hall, 123 W. Second St., Weiner, AR 72479.
The Project includes the following Work:
Contract I: Replacement of interior piping, electrical renovations, pressure filter renovations, aerator renovations, chemical feed renovations, generator installation, water line replacement, and water meter replacement.
Contract II: Cleaning and painting of the interior and exterior of the 100,000 gallon elevated storage tank.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Weiner Water System Improvements
Owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately $750,000. The Project has an expected duration as follows:
Contract I – 180 days ;
Contract II – 60 days.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of $100 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund of $50 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above. Make deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to Miller Newell Engineers.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Domestic Preference
This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, §§ 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States.
