This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation 36C24725Q0537 is issued as a request for quotation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as A SDVOSB set-aside, the associated NAICS code is 492110 and small business size 1500 employees.
DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Networking Office 7 is looking to award a firm-fixed price contract and reimbursement will be on a per-delivery run basis. Contractor will provide courier service for RMD pickup and delivery for Sterile Processing Services, Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS).
Sterile Processing Services (SPS) is a full-service sterile processing department performing reprocessing at Montgomery (West Campus) site. All RMD collected for reprocessing must be delivered to SPS on west campus, in adequate time to preserve the integrity of the RMD. With current workload and VA patient population, it is necessary that all RMD are delivered to SPS at West Campus, Monday through Friday, twice (2) per day for MVAC and Tuskegee. Line 1 will be exercise on an everyday basis unless an event occurs with SPS to exercise Lines 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Lines 1, 3, 4 and 5 will not be excise at the same time.
