RFQ #: 2026 - 02
Request for Qualifications
Professional Engineering & Consulting Services for the International Drive Project
ADDENDUM NO. 1
Date: January 30, 2026
This Addendum is issued to provide responses to questions received regarding the above-referenced
RFQ. All respondents shall consider this Addendum part of the RFQ documents. In the event of a conflict,
this Addendum shall govern. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Question 1
Is there any information available regarding the project limits or approximate length of roadway for
International Drive?
The exact project limits and approximate roadway length have not been determined at this time. These
elements will be established during the engineering and preliminary design phase following procurement
of a professional engineering firm.
Question 2
Is a project location map available?
A general project location map is included in the RFQ for reference purposes only. The map is conceptual
in nature and does not represent final roadway limits, alignments, or design determinations.
Question 3
Are there any preliminary design parameters available (e.g., number of lanes, ROW width, pavement
type)?
Preliminary design parameters have not yet been established. These parameters will be developed by
TxDOT in coordination with the selected engineering consultant following procurement. TxDOT will meet
with the selected engineer to initiate development of preliminary design criteria, including but not limited
to:
•
Number of lanes
•
Right-of-way (ROW) requirements
•
Pavement type and structural section

All design work shall conform to applicable TxDOT standards and other relevant local, state, and federal
requirements.
Question 4
Are there any known utility conflicts or right-of-way acquisition needs?
At this time, there is no confirmed information regarding utility conflicts or right-of-way acquisition needs.
Identification, coordination, and assessment of utilities and potential ROW requirements will be included
within the engineering scope of services.
Question 5
What is the desired design and construction timeline for the project?
Engineering services will be procured prior to final design development. The anticipated construction start
date is no later than January 2027. Final design and construction schedules will be established following
engineer selection and completion of preliminary design.
General Clarification
Respondents should note that the project is currently in a conceptual planning phase. Statements of
qualifications and proposed approaches should reflect experience in advancing projects from early
planning through design development and construction. Respondents should anticipate coordination with
TxDOT as part of the preliminary design and standards development process.
