NOTICE OF FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR 2026 BITUMINOUS MATERIALS PURCHASE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that bids for the City of Saint Peter’s 2026 Bituminous Materials Purchase will be received by the City Administrator’s Office until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at which time the bids shall be opened and publicly read virtually through Microsoft Teams.  Please use the link below to see and/or hear the bid opening results:

The successful bidder will supply approximately 2,400 tons of bituminous; the final quantity is to be determined by the City based on funds available.  Price bid shall be per ton of product.

Specifications and bid forms are available on the City’s website at https://www.saintpetermn.gov/367/Public-Notices or from the Office of the City Administrator Office, 227 South Front Street, Saint Peter, Minnesota 56082-2538.  Bids on the “official bid forms” may be emailed to toddp@saintpetermn.gov or submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City Administrator’s Office with the words “2026 Bituminous Materials Purchase Bid” written on the envelope.

A CERTIFIED CHECK, CASHIER’S CHECK or BID BOND made payable to the City of Saint Peter, Minnesota, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be enclosed with the bid.  The City reserves the right to retain said certified check or bid bond until a contract has been awarded and signed, but no longer than thirty (30) days.  A PERFORMANCE BOND, CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, and proof of WORKER’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE is also required of the successful bidder.

The bid opening will only be conducted in person.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive defects in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City.  AAEOE
