REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR ASPHALT PAVEMENT CRACK SEALING ON CITY STREETS
The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Streets Section is requesting formal written proposals for asphalt pavement crack sealing.
Contractor shall furnish and install approximately 18,000 pounds of MnDOT-approved asphalt pavement crack sealer meeting the MnDOT Standard Specification 3405/3723. The final total is to be determined by the City based on unit price and budget considerations. The contractor shall supply all materials, equipment, and safety equipment necessary to install crack sealing materials. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control equipment and labor to adequately install the crack sealing materials as per the Minnesota Temporary Traffic Control Manual. The contractor’s personnel shall be in compliance with OSHA standards including wearing all required safety equipment. All procedures and equipment shall follow OSHA standards.
The proposed prices shall include all equipment, materials, labor, and all other items required to complete the installation. The contractor shall provide all forms of insurance required by law and shall maintain the same in force. Â The contractor must provide a certificate of insurance naming the City of Saint Peter as an additional insured in an amount not less than $1,500,000.00 per occurrence.
All work is to be completed no later than July 17, 2026.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive defects in the proposal, and to accept the proposal that is in the best interest of the City.
Contractor may either submit this completed form OR provide a formal written proposal on company letterhead to include all the information as requested.
