Winder Housing Authority
Sealed Proposals for construction of the Cottages at Maynard, an affordable housing-development will be received at the Winder Housing Authority, 163 M.L.K. J.R. Drive Winder, GA 30680, Attention: Michelle Yawn, Executive Director, until 2:00 P.M. legal prevailing time on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
All bids must be on the required bid form found in the specifications.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Winder Housing Authority, 163 M.L.K. J.R. Drive Winder, GA 30680, at 2:00 P.M., legal prevailing time on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to construct the new Cottages located at Maynard Street. The work shall be installed as detailed on the construction drawings and specified herein and all incidental work required for a complete and functional building. Contractors are responsible for traffic control and erosion control per Barrow County requirements.
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are available for review at the Winder Housing Authority office at 163 M.L.K. J.R. Drive Winder, GA 30680 during regular business hours. Complete bid documents are on file and may be obtained from Foreman Seeley Fountain Architecture, 3091 Governors Lake Drive, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30071, (phone 770-729-8433). Contractors and Vendors who register with the Architect may receive digital files of the bid documents for no cost. Contact Takiyah Braxton (braxton@FSFarchitecture.com ).
Payment of the Contract Amount will be made on a periodic basis on applications for payment from the Contractor and approved by the Owner / Project Manager / Architect based on work accomplished, products furnished and products stored on the site. Progress payment requests shall be submitted by the Contractor no later than the twenty-fifth (25th) day of each month during the term of the Contract, and payment shall be made by the Winder Housing Authority within thirty (30) days after receipt of approved progress payment requests, less retainage and other deductions provided in the Contract Documents.
Bonds: A five percent (5%) bid bond will be required.
License: The Bidder shall hold a current and valid Contractor License issued by the Georgia State Construction Industry Licensing Board.
Owner’s Right: The Winder Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities and informalities and re-advertise. The Winder Housing Authority further reserves the right to award this contract in whole or in part.
