Renovation of Wastewater Treatment Plant

Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Waynesboro at the office of the City Manager, 615 N. Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830 until 10:00AM on October 2
nd
2025_, for the Renovation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, according to plans and specifications. All bids will be opened in public and read aloud following the specified closing time during a special called council meeting.
The City of Waynesboro is proposing to perform major upgrades of the equipment in the main treatment system of the existing plant, including the headworks along with major equipment upgrades in the sludge handling train. They are not proposing any expansion of the treatment plant in terms of the design compacity or the biological treatment capacity. There will also be a new generator installed to provide emergency backup power to the entire treatment facility. Due to the long lead time of the equipment, some of the equipment has been pre-purchased and is stored at the treatment facility. This contract will be to purchase and install new equipment along with the already purchased equipment.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to respond to any questions related to the details of this project will be held at __1:00PM on September 18
th

. Bid documents will be forwarded upon payment of $300.00 fee as soon as possible.
The estimated range of this project is between $_2,500,000_ to $_3,000,000__ for labor and miscellaneous materials.
BONDING REQUIREMENTS: An original Bid Bond for 5 percent of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required if contract is awarded.
Plans/Specifications/Contract Documents will be on file FOR INSPECTION ONLY at the following locations on or after __ August 29

The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder or potential bidder in the preparation of its bid in response to this Invitation to Bid.
