PART 1: INTRODUCTION
PURPOSE
Liberty Public Schools (LPSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced equipment dealers for the sale of
used Apple devices from the district’s One to One Initiative. This Request for Proposal should not be misconstrued as a
formal offer. There is absolutely no commitment to purchase or enter into a formal contract. Upon completion of our
evaluation of your proposal, we may recommend that a formal contract be established.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISTRICT
Liberty Public Schools serves the residents of approximately 85 square miles in Clay County. Located just northeast of Kansas
City, the school district serves more than 11,400 students in preschool through 12th grade.

Communication with Board members and/or other District staff in an effort to influence the outcome of the RFP selection
process is prohibited and will result in rejection of the Vendor’s proposal.
PART II: SCOPE OF SALE
Liberty Public Schools (LPSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced equipment dealers for the sale of
used Apple devices from the district’s One to One Initiative as well as preparatory services for the new Apple devices. This
Request for Proposal should not be misconstrued as a formal offer. There is absolutely no commitment to purchase or enter
into a formal contract. Upon completion of our evaluation of your proposal, we may recommend that a formal contract be
established.
Preparatory Services for New Apple MacBooks:
• The awarded vendor will receive 6600 MacBook Air devices directly from Apple.
• Vendor will unbox units and recycle packaging components.
• Vendor will adhere a District provided barcode to the device in a specified location.
• Vendor will supply the District with a spreadsheet that at a minimum, includes a column for the MacBook serial
number and another column for the associated barcode number.
• Vendor will ship devices to 1142 Southview Drive, Liberty, MO, 64068 at the vendor’s expense.
• Loss or damage of devices during transit to LPS to be covered by vendor.
In coordinating with Apple, the shipment of devices will be released shortly after the March 16 board meeting. When a shipment
is received, the vendor will have fourteen calendar days to complete the preparatory services for 4000 devices and have the
devices delivered to the school district. Day one is the day the devices are received. A 1% fine of the accepted total will be
accessed for each day the devices are not received after the 14 calendar days for completion and delivery to Liberty Schools.
Remaining 2600 devices to be delivered no later than May 1. A 1% fine of the accepted total will be accessed for each day the
devices are received after May 1.
In bid response, specifically note pricing for preparatory services.

Below are the estimated totals for devices. Please note that after final count the numbers may not be exact but should be close
to estimated.

● Vendors must include the following pricing information:
o Grade A Maximum Price
o Minimum guaranteed price per device regardless of grade, accessories, etc.
o Pricing structure to be applied to any amount above 6000 units or subtracted from the total for number of units
below 6000. This pricing structure is to remain in place for any devices received through the month of July.
● District will not entertain pricing amounts with deduction clauses for missing cables, percentage of F grade devices, etc.
● Majority of devices will come with STM dux shell cases still installed.
● Devices do not have any engraving.
● Devices do have a metallic asset tag.
