Project Description: This project will remove and replace 2 air handling units (AHUs) on the Penthouse Level of Concourse C and replace variable air volume boxes (VAVs) and perimeter fin tube radiation (FTR) throughout levels 1 and 2. New energy recovery units (ERUs) will be added in the penthouse to replace existing exhaust fans currently serving restrooms on Concourse C. Additionally, there is one AHU replacement on the Valet Level of Terminal 1. This project will also provide provisions for a portable air conditioner at the South Field Maintenance building. Replacement of the air handling units will require ductwork, piping, conduit, sprinkler, and plumbing modifications as well as new controls for the AHUs, VAVs, and ERUs. Electrical work includes new panelboards and metering to serve mechanical equipment loads, feeder and branch circuit work, lighting fixture replacements, fire alarm system modifications, and telecommunications connections to support the project scope. This project will include temporary structural steel work, steel stair work, miscellaneous metals, roofing work and gypsum board patching and painting.
