Project Overview
The burn building shall simulate a three-level, single/multi-family residential structure, with an attached four-story training tower, built using shipping containers. The vendor shall provide all materials, transportation, labor, assembly, painting, and commissioning of the structure. The completed project must be delivered and installed at the designated GCFD site within 12 months of contract award.

Sixteen (16) minimum windows, with window protection on twelve (12) windows (floors two and three)

Three (3) 8’ x 8’ lined burn rooms, with air vents – levels 1, 2 and 3

Overhead hallway burn prop on floor 1

Three (3) forcible entry door simulators (locations designated by GCFR)

Vertical roof prop capable of simulating pitches from 4:12 to 16:12

Flat roof prop, minimum size 8’ x 8’

Decking for exterior operations on levels 2, 3, and 4

Rappel deck with 10,000 lb. rated anchors

Rappel anchor point in stairwell

High anchor rappel cage with 360-degree swivel on rappel deck

Two (2) bailout anchors on designated windows

Two (2) balconies, each 4’ x 8’

Wall breach prop, location specified by GCFR

Garage door prop on designated container (garage simulation)

Confined space hatches on floors 2, 3, and 4

Aluminum low-abrasion flooring throughout structure

Fire Department Connection (FDC) to standpipe system on floors 1, 2, and 3

All vendors are required to comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act. Vendors submitting a response to this RFP must provide the Contractor Affidavit and Agreement include in Exhibit A. Failure to provide the completed and notarized affidavit with the contractor’s proposal shall result in immediate disqualification as required by the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act.

Special Requirements:
|
|
All submissions must be submitted with two (2) hard copies and one (1) PDF format electronically on a USB flash drive. Any costs incurred by the contractor in order to respond to this RFP are the responsibility of the proposer.
Each bid shall include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount as guarantee that the bidder shall not withdraw the bid for 60 days after the scheduled bid opening.
