General Notice

THE CITY OF LE MARS (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

18 TH STREET SE DRAINAGE REPAIR PROJECT

CEC Project #225530

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Le Mars City Hall, 40 Central Avenue SE, Le Mars, IA 51031, until Thursday, November 6th, 2025, at 1 PM local time. At that time the Bids are received, they will be Publicly opened and read aloud.

The Project includes the following Work:

The 18 TH Street SE Drainage Repair Project will consist of repairs along 18 th Street SE in Le Mars, IA. The work includes new curb and gutter, roadway paving removal and replacement, storm sewer removal and replacement, storm sewer structure removal and replacement, seeding, grading, and traffic control.

Bids are requested for the following Contract: The 18 th Street SE Drainage Repairs Project

The owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately $165,000. The Project has an allowable duration of 20 working days. Work should be started and completed entirely in the fall, or entirely in the spring using the allotted working days. The project will have a late start date of May 1, 2026.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. All prime bidders on the project are REQUIRED to register as a plan holder on QuestCDN.

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of

$22 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will not receive a refund. Make deposit checks for Bidding Documents payable to Civil Engineers & Constructors, LLC.

Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents via email will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service or email address. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen.

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference will not be held for the project.
