The Contractor is hereby notified that the proposed Scope of Work is located within an active refinery owned and operated by Cenovus Energy Inc. as such adherence to specific safety protocols and procedures will be critical. The Contractor awarded this Scope of Work will be deemed Prime Contractor for the Project Site delineated by the safety fence.

The Scope of Work generally includes excavation, grading, and delineation of a proposed stormwater pond located adjacent to the Northwest Drainage Channel. The Scope of Work will also involve regrading and construction of stormwater channel slope embankments, stripping and stockpiling of topsoil, excavation to design subgrade elevations including loading, hauling, and offsite stockpiling of excess material, placement of embankment clay fill, storm pond contouring and compaction, and the supply and installation of rock rip-rap at designated locations. Surplus clay fill generated during excavation will be hauled offsite for stockpiling at a location specified by the Engineer. Following the delineation and excavation of the storm pond, the Contractor will be responsible for placing topsoil and Contractor-supplied seed.
