Architectural and Engineering Services

The City of Hialeah is accepting qualifications for Architectural and Engineering Services in various professional categories on an “as-needed basis. It is the intent of the City to use the RFQ process to select three (3) firms within each category firms that are qualified (as determined by the City) to provide services in each of the categories of professional specialization. When professional services are required, a proposed project will be analyzed in terms of the predominant professional specialty required, and a firm will be selected from the appropriate specialization list.

Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, outlines the process by which agencies in the state may utilize contracts with architects and engineers on a continuing basis. Maintaining continuing contracts with architects and engineers helps to expedite the award of a project when the construction cost of each individual project does not exceed $7.5 million, for study activity if the fee for professional services for each study does not exceed $500,000.
