Title: Type 3H Fire Engine



The U. S. Forest Service (USFS) is soliciting a proposal from qualified vendors for five (5) Type 3H (Heavy) fire engines, body only configuration, to be installed on Government-furnished 4X4 cab and chassis. Scope includes chassis modifications and preparation, installation of the body, fire pump, 750-gallon water tank, warning lights, required graphics package, and all components necessary to deliver a complete operational unit. Apparatus must meet Forest Service national standard specifications, including compliance with NFPA 1900 unless otherwise specified. Proposal shall include delivery of each unit and on-site familiarization training. Vendors shall demonstrate their capability to produce apparatus meeting the requirements of the USFS, summarized in executive form.
