SCOPE OF SERVICES:
As part of its commitment to maintaining the safety and functionality of its infrastructure, the District is seeking qualified contractors with expertise in alarm system repair. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform repair services at all CFTOD-owned facilities. Some services may be required on an emergency basis and must comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72 Standards and the rules and guidelines of the State Fire Marshal.
Contractor is responsible for the repair of existing alarm systems, including fire alarms, intrusion systems, and associated equipment. All work shall ensure full code compliance and operational integrity. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to, the following:
Repairs:
To restore any malfunctioning or damaged alarm system component to full operational condition.
A. Please review the inspection reports and address all hardware deficiencies noted in the report.
B. Troubleshooting and diagnosing system faults or errors.
C. Replacement of defective parts (detectors, pull stations, control panels, etc.).
D. Reprogramming or resetting system errors or false alarms.
E. Rewiring or re-terminating faulty connections.
F. Installation of new system components or equipment as needed to maintain operational integrity or to replace outdated/unsupported units.
G. Coordinating with monitoring service providers for signal confirmation.
H. Final testing to confirm repair effectiveness.
I. Immediate notification to the client of any component that cannot be repaired and requires replacement.
J. Repairs to be completed within the service-level timeframe (48 hours for non-emergency)
K. The Contractor shall provide replacement parts as required during the term of the contract. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (“OEM”) parts may be utilized unless authorized by the District. All parts shall be in new condition. Contractor must maintain a reasonable inventory of new parts and components that are readily available to expedite repairs.
L. Parts and materials shall be billed at cost, plus a reasonable markup percentage.
The Contractor must meet the following qualifications/certifications:
The bidder must have a minimum of three (3) years' of experience providing fire alarm system repair.

Fire Alarm Contractor License
