Legal Services – Trinidad Urban Renewal Authority

The Trinidad Urban Renewal Authority (TURA) is requesting proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to provide on-call legal services related to urban renewal activities, redevelopment projects, and general legal matters associated with the Authority.

Scope of Services

The selected attorney or law firm will provide legal counsel and services to the Trinidad Urban Renewal Authority on an as-needed basis. Services may include, but are not limited to:

· Legal guidance on urban renewal law and redevelopment projects

· Assistance with property acquisition and disposition

· Review and preparation of development agreements, contracts, and related documents

· Advice regarding Colorado statutes governing urban renewal authorities

· Attendance at TURA meetings as requested

· General legal consultation related to economic development and redevelopment activities

· Coordination with City of Trinidad staff and consultants

Preference may be given to attorneys or firms with experience working with municipalities or rural communities, and familiarity with Colorado urban renewal law.

Qualifications

Proposals should demonstrate:

· Experience providing legal services to municipalities, urban renewal authorities, or public agencies

· Knowledge of Colorado municipal and urban renewal law

· Ability to work effectively with small or rural communities

· Availability to provide services on an on-call basis

· Clear fee structure (hourly rates or other billing structure)

Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include:

1. Firm or Attorney Information Name, address, and contact information.

2. Statement of Qualifications Relevant experience providing legal services to municipalities or urban renewal authorities.

3. Relevant Project Experience Description of similar work performed for public entities.

4. Fee Structure Hourly rates or proposed billing structure.

5. References At least three professional references.

Selection Process

Proposals will be reviewed by the Trinidad Urban Renewal Authority. The Authority reserves the right to request additional information, conduct interviews, or reject any or all proposals.

The Trinidad Urban Renewal Authority reserves the right to select the proposal that best meets the needs of the Authority.
