General Statement of Work

A 3-year long contract designed to support the implementation of the Wastewater Infrastructure Improvement Projects and/or Programs. Work performed will include but is not limited to: replacement of sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure; Infrastructure Program systems support and/or development; cured-in-place lining for water, storm, and sanitary infrastructure; work in open channel waterways; environmental site investigation and/or early construction activities; negotiating early site access and agreements; structural rehabilitation of manholes, inlets, and other wastewater infrastructure, installation or stabilization of concrete flatwork, street infrastructure, or subgrades; promoting storm drainage in the City Right-of-way, City parks, or other City owned facilities and land; utility relocation and coordination; compliance with regulations including the American Disability Act; other work to satisfy City obligations under State, Federal, and Army Corp issued permits or other City agreements associated with Infrastructure Projects involving new construction, water quality, and drainage way improvements. This contract will be composed of multiple events and used on an as-needed basis. Contract term is three years and the maximum contract amount is $3,250,000.00 (contract amount is no guarantee of work). Multiple contracts may be awarded pending the needs of the City.

Estimated Construction Cost: The Engineers Estimate for total bid amount (Supplemental Labor, Subcontracted Work, Allowance Accounts, and $10,010.00 Textura Fee) is between $4,300,000.00 and $4,700,000.00. The maximum contract amount is $3,250,000.00. The maximum amount to be paid for all work performed under this contract shall in no event exceed the sum of $3,250,000.00.

Prequalification: Each bidder must be prequalified in category 1E(4) Pipe Sewer at or above the $6,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
