General Description
The City of Greenville will accept bids for the purchase of a pre-owned Jeep Grand
Cherokee meeting the specifications within this document.

Bid Information
Any changes and/or addenda to this bid request will be posted on www.greenvillemi.org
under the bids tab. Any and all questions regarding this bid request shall be directed to
the principal contact listed above.
Due Date
Bids are due by 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Submission of Bids
Please submit your sealed proposals using the attached bid form, as well as all other
requested information. One copy of the proposal shall be delivered to:

Response Format
All responses must be sent via a mail delivery system (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.). No
email responses will be accepted.
All responses must be clearly labeled - "GDPS Jeep Grand Cherokee Bid."

Evaluation of Bids
The City will review all submitted bids and other relevant information (cost, best value for
the municipality, subjective considerations) regarding the products which the City wishes
to purchase. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response for any or no
reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the
City of Greenville. Individuals or companies submitting paperwork as part of the bid
selection process understand, by their submission, the above evaluation process.
The City of Greenville is a tax-exempt governmental organization. Therefore, the Total
Amount Proposed must not consider any type of taxable additions.
Selection of Bids
Once the appropriate bid is selected, it will be presented to the Greenville City Council for
approval. Upon vendor and bid approval, the selected vendor will receive a "Notice of
Award" and the opportunity to review the plan of execution for the project with City
officials.
The "Total Amount Proposed" cost will be valid for a minimum of 60 days after the bid
opening date and prospective vendors will be held to the price presented.
Scope of Work
The City of Greenville will accept bids for a pre-owned Jeep Grand Cherokee, meeting
the specifications provided within this document.
This agency can provide additional information regarding the necessities listed in the
specification section upon request.
Department personnel may request to view or operate a vehicle proposed in this bid
process prior to awarding the final bid as part of the bid determination process.
Documentation and inspection process outlined on the specification and parameter of
work section are also part of the bid process.

Specifications and Parameters Required for Bid Process
Specifications for selection of the Jeep Grand Cherokee are as follows:
* Acceptable colors:
Gray

* Six-cylinder engine; no "turbo" type engines will be accepted
* Approximately 50,000 miles
* Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
* Tinted windows to manufacturer and legal specifications are permitted - no after-
marked tinted windows or window applications
* No major or obvious rust or damaged areas
* No major or obvious internal damage (example: ripped seats, cut or damaged
leather or vinal, or previous tobacco use)
Documentation Requirements for Bid Package are as follows:
* CarFax or other appropriate paperwork showing overall history of the vehicle being
presented
* Photographs (exterior and interior) of the vehicle
Testing and Inspection Process:
* Department personnel may request to view or operate a vehicle proposed in this
bid process prior to awarding the final bid as part of the bid determination process.
* Bidder must consent to an inspection of the proposed vehicle by either a dealership
of the City's choosing or by a City of Greenville Department of Public Works
mechanic.
