LS-13 Rehabilitation and Site Upgrades

The project is located at the City of Jacksonville Beach and consists of improvements at one City lift station.

Lift Station 13 (LS-13) Site is located on the east side of Fairway Lane in Jacksonville Beach (south side of drainage easement). The scope of work includes rehabilitation of the existing duplex lift station including temporary bypassing operations, equipment and structure demolition, installation of new pumps, 4-inch/6-inch piping (discharge and manifold for LS-16), valves and other ancillary equipment, pump control panel, telemetry and SCADA equipment, site light, installation of new hose bibb station and water service, installation of a wet well specialty coating system per manufacture recommendations as necessary, and piping with new concrete slab, new fencing and restoration.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, services and incidentals to complete all Work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. Contractor shall be responsible for properly unloading, storing, installing and maintaining all materials and equipment. The Contractor shall perform the Work complete, in place, and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, testing, permits, cleanup, replacements and restoration required as a result of damages caused during this construction.

To demonstrate his qualifications to perform the Work, each Bidder shall submit with his Bid written evidence as to his financial status, previous successful contractual and technical experience in similar work including references, description, and volume of present commitments, evidence of possession of, or covenant to obtain prior to award of Contract, valid state, county, and local licenses covering all operations and all areas of political jurisdiction involved in the Work of this project and such other data as may be requested by the CITY. No bidder/company will be issued a contract for the work, who in the past seven (7) years has filed for bankruptcy personally or has been an owner/officer or principal of a firm, which has filed bankruptcy in the past seven (7) years.

Contractor must be able to exhibit to the City of Jacksonville Beach that he can perform a minimum of 30% of the total contract work with their own labor work force. The purchase of materials and/or equipment will not be considered as part of this percentage.
