The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The USDA Medfly Preventative Release Program requires the complete removal and disposal of the existing backup generator (C100D6C Diesel Genset, 60Hz, 100kW) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) (CBLC, Bypass Transfer Switch‑Power Command: 150A/225A/260/300/400/600A), along with the removal and disposal of the associated diesel fuel tank, diesel fuel, and concrete equipment pad. This requirement includes furnishing and installing a new diesel‑powered backup generator, a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), a new diesel fuel tank with fuel, and a new concrete pad, as well as all items required to completely install, test, and commission the equipment in accordance with the Statement of Work.
The new generator must provide a minimum standby capacity of 100 kW, equal to the existing system. Generators with capacities greater than 100 kW are acceptable and may be proposed, provided they meet all compatibility, site, electrical, and operational requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.
Work includes, but is not limited to:
• Decommissioning, removal, and proper disposal of the existing generator system, ATS, diesel fuel tank, diesel fuel, and concrete pad;
• Furnishing and installing a new generator, ATS, diesel fuel tank, and new concrete pad;
• All mechanical, electrical, piping, exhaust, grounding, controls, and associated work required for a complete and functional system;
• Supplying up to 550 gallons of new diesel fuel for startup, testing, and commissioning;
• Startup, testing, and commissioning of the new system; and
• Providing all submittals, shop drawings, manuals, warranties, as‑builts, and required training;
