STATEMENT OF WORK {SOW)
Veterans Benefit Administration
Fort Walton Beach Veterans Readiness and Employment Office {VR&E)
SCOPE
The purpose of this procurement document is to obtain electric sit stand desks with acrylic privacy panels and delivery services to fulfill the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Montgomery Alabama Regional Benefits Office at 345 Perryhill Road, Bldg 55, Montgomery, AL 36109.
The Contractor shall provide sit stand office furniture of selected furniture items by the government. Furniture shall be ergonomically designed to meet minimum requirements. Awarded vendor shall provide three color palette options to for selection. Furniture shall be equivalent in quality to Haworth, Steelcase, and/or VARI systems.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The delivery of furniture shall be within 60 days after of award of contract. All deliveries to be performed during normal working hours (8:00am - 5:00pm EST); all shipping and handling charges shall be paid by the offeror. Responsibility and liability for loss or damage shall remain with offeror until final inspection and acceptance by VBA.
Ill. SPECIFICATIONS
NECESSARY COMPONENTS:
The successful contractor awarded this project shall provide all components, hardware, and parts necessary for proper assembly, installation, and operation, even though certain items may not be specifically described in the specifications. This includes all fittings, couplers, brackets, adapters, panel connectors, electrical cords, etc.
STANDARD COMPONENTS: Unless superseded by parts description specifications, goods shall include all components and accessories listed by the manufacturer as standard, as well as part of the offeror's GSA schedule contract.

PERFORMANCE OF WORK ON GOVERNMENT PREMISES:
Current rules and regulations applicable to the premises, where the work shall be performed, shall apply to the contractor and its employees while working on the premises. These regulations include but are not limited to, presenting valid identification for entrance, smoking restriction and any safety procedures as outlined in the site regulations. All work is to be coordinated with VBA. The VBA primary Point of Contact (POC) will be Richie Adams, who may be reached at 334-213-3391 or Darrell Bradford who may be reached at 334-213-3377.
FURNITURE The systems office furniture offered shall be a complete line of furniture and shall meet the requirements of and be available under the contractors GSA Contract schedule 71, Part 1. All pieces shall be part of a "line" of furniture designed and finished to match and provide a unified look.

Building Restrictions:
Delivery shall be coordinated with the VBA local POC. Advance notice needs to be given to the VA to coordinate with the building manager to access to the site. Delivery will need to take place during normal business hours and installation work to be performed during normal working hours (8:00am - 4:30pm CST) unless coordinated differently with the local VA POC. Deliveries must be scheduled as to not disrupt building maintenance and functions. The facility is not equipped with a loading dock therefore the delivery vehicle shall be equipped with a lift gate.
SYSTEMS/OFFICE FURNITURE SPECIFICATIONS
General
Systems furniture will carry a limited lifetime warranty; that included a warranty period of 24 hour, 7 days a week, multi shift use including parts and labor to repair.
Freestanding and Systems components shall be interchangeable with capability to go in freestanding case goods to systems work surfaces.
SYSTEMS AND FREESTANDING MODULAR FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATION: General:
All systems and freestanding modular furniture product shall comply with the Trade Agreements Act.
Systems furniture and freestanding modular furniture shall be provided from the same manufacturer/line to ensure finish and construction match.
All product to be new and unused.
The systems and freestanding modular furniture line shall have been manufactured for more than 10 years and have a policy for product continue is to develop and enhance components that fully integrate and are compatible with current product lines.
Manufacturing shall take place in an ISO 9001 (Quality Control) certified plant.
Panel systems shall conform to BIFMA/ANSI XS.6-2016 (Standard for Panel Systems Requirements).
Standard Panel Fabrics shall comply with NFPA 701, method 1, requirements or be tested in accordance with ASTM E84 or UL 723, on entire assembled panel and have a flame spread rating not exceeding 25 and a smoke development rating not exceeding 450 (Class A Flammability Requirements). Panels flame spread shall not exceed 25 for Class A rating (Conforms to MIL-HBDK 1008B requirements).
Systems Furniture shall be Listed to UL 1286.
Storage pedestals, files shall be compliant with ANSI/BIFMA XS. Storage units shall confirm to BIFMA.ANSI XS.5 2014 and xS.9-2019
Freestanding elements shall conform to ANSI/BIFMA XS.5-2014 (Desks and Tables)
Tempered glass shall conform to ASTM C 1048 Type 1 (Class 1 Transparent). Acrylic shall not be substituted or accepted.
All electrical components shall be UL (1286 and/or 183) & CSA listed and meet the applicable requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC)/ Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
13 Manufacturer shall offer a custom product development program as GSA Contract.
Sustainable Design:
Total recycled content must be 37% or greater combining both post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled content.
The panel system and storage products shall be manufactured in an ISO 14001 (Environmental Control) certified plant
All materials shall be free of hexavalent chrome, CFC's, and PDBE's.
Adhesives used shall be solvent free and free of any Hazardous Air Pollutants.
Metal parts shall be powder coated and finished with a durable VOC -free finish which is applied in a process that generates low levels of recyclable waste.
Product shall be Greenguard certified or equivalent as low emitting furniture meeting LEED requirements of IEQ 4.5 Low Emitting Furniture. Certificate must be displayed on USGBC website/Greenguard.org.
Product shall be certified at BIFMA Level 2 (or higher).
All laminate and veneer components (surfaces, storage) shall have FSC-Certified cores.
WARRANTY FOR EACH SERIES PRODUCT IS TO BE INCLUDED IN SUBMITTAL WORKSTATION COMPONENTS
