Overview

Summary

The Board of Commissioners of Glynn County, Georgia (“the Owner”) seeks proposals from interested qualified firms to provide one new, current-production-year public safety vessel, including propulsion system, trailer, electronics, accessories, rigging, and associated equipment, including all details outlined and required in the Program Services section.

The vessel will be utilized by Glynn County for public safety operations within coastal, tidal, riverine, marsh, and inland waterways. Anticipated missions may include law enforcement support, search and rescue, emergency response, disaster response, evacuation support, personnel and equipment transportation, and other public safety operations as needed.

Background

Glynn County’s extensive coastal environment includes tidal waterways, rivers, creeks, marshes, and other areas that can present unique challenges for public safety operations. These waterways require a vessel capable of safely and effectively operating in varying water depths and conditions while providing reliable access to areas that may be difficult to reach using traditional response resources.

The proposed public safety vessel will enhance the County’s ability to support a variety of missions, including law enforcement operations, search and rescue, emergency and disaster response, evacuation support, and the transportation of personnel and equipment. The vessel must provide the versatility, reliability, maneuverability, and shallow-water capability necessary to operate within Glynn County’s coastal environment.
