The Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) Hazardous Devices Unit, operating under the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), is seeking to establish a contract with a qualified and experienced vendor to enhance its operational capabilities in response to Improvised Hazardous Devices (IHDs), with a specific emphasis on Chemical and Biological threat mitigation. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance and expand the Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) Hazardous Devices Technicians knowledge, skills, and operational readiness in responding to incidents involving chemical and biological agents.
